A night at the bar
So last night a bunch of us are at the bar, partaking in $2 beer happy hour (10pm-midnight). The bar keeps only local beers on tap, so it’s an excellent place to go with a Philly crowd. (Unfortunately, none of my Eurocharges wanted to tag along. This was at first disappointing, later elating.) The crew was Jordan, Matt, Jim, some of Jim’s friends, and myself.
Jim’s friend Chris is crazy and political. He hates Ron Paul because apparently the latter is a psycho and wants to disrupt American political hegemony, which to Chris is somehow a bad idea. Yeah. Wow. And then, in response to an anecdote I related about a server screwing me out of 50 cents per drink on a tab the night before (charged 50 cents higher per drink than the menu listed), Chris proceeded to quote Marx in defense of the server, calling her a communist. The table disagreed, and he told us we needed to read more Adam Smith. We told him he needed another beer.
This is why Matt is fun to drink with:
Conor: So on the Myers-Briggs test I took, I placed as an ENTP.
Jordan: Yeah, last time I did it I think I was ENTJ or something.
Matt: I took a Harry Potter quiz online and got Slytherin.
Seriously makes me wish he were better about maintaining ITMC.
