“Because of the rain,” I haven’t been able to post. It’s been drizzling for two days straight, so I can’t hunt wifi hotspots outdoors. I don’t have much money to spend in internet cafes, but if I did, I wouldn’t really be able to upload pics quickly anyway, given Google’s dumpy web interface to force Picasa integration. Bastards. So still gotta wait on that.
The good news: I heard yesterday at orientation that we DAAD students could receive our stipends as early as late next week. This is awesome. As soon as that stipend comes I am hooking myself up crazytown. We’ve got mad cheap trips planned all over, the first of which will probably be a weekend run through Prague. We plan to do that the weekend after Oktoberfest, I think. As long as we get six people to commit, each personal will only pay 5€ train fare each way, I’ve heard. Unbelievable, no?
Anyway, I’ll sneak outside if it ever stops raining to shoot off some e-mails and post this. Stay warm and dry, and watch the leaves change color with me.
I’m going to start using ‘crazytown’ as an adjective more often.
I know how you can get flights to Madrid for 10.
If you’re nice, maybe I’ll tell you
Do they have Oktoberfest in Madrid?
I plan on sitting here and watching the leaves stay the exact same color until they just fall off. Because thats how we roll in Georgia.
They have sangria.
Tbf, I can get a liter and a half of sangria at Aldi’s for a buck ten. And while I can’t exactly speak Bavarian, I for rizzle can’t speak Spanish.
