False alarm

Was using Google Image Search to patch some holes in my collection of album artwork, and I stumbled across this wonder. Please note the location for the November 24 show (that’s tomorrow).

Yup, that’s Munich, at my beloved Backstage joint. I quickly checked the band’s official site and found that it was an old poster from 2006, as the Munich date was filed under “Old Tour Dates” on their live page. Looks like the closest they came to me this year was Antwerp, which I already knew. Damn.

Got me thinking about what my favorite pieces of album art are. The Novembers Doom CD pictures above is pretty much right up my alley, but I don’t know that anything will ever top Blackwater Park for me.

I predict myself grokking my album art collection long and hard and making a new post of my favorite pieces.
