I’m not really feeling it, but there’s a huge party brewing here tonight. A few of the Americans cooked up the idea a week or two back, and word spread, and now we have quite a guestlist going on. The basement is being converted into a party room, with Christmas lights hanging, huge rasterized images adorning the walls, a bar made out of many bookshelves pushed together… it’s good times.
A lot of people weren’t in on the party, because the first-year Germans (who fortunately all live on the highest floor of the building, meaning the party shouldn’t disturb them) have a huge pass/fail test tomorrow. But all the Germans who are in the middle of their careers at university say it’s a great idea, so we drink.
I’m on the fence because I have to get up early to go down to the municipal building in order to start the ball rolling on acquiring a working permit. I have my residency permit already, but I need to start aiming for a job so I can make myself so moneys. (A serious job, not like before.)
So, until tomorrow afternoon. Many things to catch up with here about. Here’s hoping I don’t kill the brain cells where those memories are stored.
finals. sleep needed. enough said, right?
well, page came home today, so we thought about going out. then i came home and roomies invited me to dinner downtown. then i get to my laptop and dan (remember st joe’s dan?) invites me out with his friends near penn’s campus.
more finals next week. what do i DO??
haha j/k you know what i’m gonna do. i’m gonna get my exhausted drink on and be a drunk emily after my first margarita (or jack n coke, haven’t decided yet).
you should do the same
Dude, I’m so proud of you. Remember that I don’t have exams until FEBRUARY (ok technically late January but whatev).
Thus it doesn’t really count as me “getting my exhausted drink on” because I don’t really have too many obligations just yet. I promise, though, that when exams finally do roll around, I’ll be just as irresponsible as my big sister taught me to be.
