A tale of sickness

It may have had to do with the drinking, I really don’t know. Voluntary alcoholism coupled with sleep deprivation from exams, and I got knocked on my ass this weekend. I’ve been sleeping about 16 hours a day, coughing up all sorts of hideous things, and hiding from light. I couldn’t even use my computer for some time, because the light from the screen gave me a brutal headache.

I’m still not eating, but I have drunk a lot of tea over the past two days, and that’s helping restore my sanity, and ease the scathing bronchial pain when I cough.

Things are looking up, though: a friend lent me a game that didn’t run on his computer, and amazingly it runs beautifully on mine. Sometimes the weirdest things will help you on the path to health.

Here’s a great old timey sore throat remedy that I have recently discovered –

    1 tbsp honey
    3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
    1 cup hot water

The precise measurements aren’t important, just use whatever balance tastes alright. It will never be delicious, but it helps. Sip it slowly. I find that it’s much better than cough drops and chloraseptic and all that crap.
    Good luck/Feel better!

Dude, actually I drank a lot of tea and honey. That does actually work somehow. I never really had a problem with a sore throat, but the cough was quite bothersome, and the honey tea stopped it.

I would love an excuse to try to find apple cider vinegar, though, so thanks for that.
