I agree with you 100% man. But the fucked up thing is that there are Americans who are tricked by this “security theater” thing, and who feel safer just knowing that foreign nationals like you (and Filiz and Dureid) are getting scrutinized and even harassed at the border.

The cop who stopped me used the same tactic: obviously I wasn’t going 70km/h, the thing really does not go that fast, it’s actually impossible. So what the hell did he expect me to say? That line of interrogation was a dead end. Just like the customs agent asking you whether you had nasty plans in America. What the hell are you gonna say to that, “Yes”?

I guess they just want us to feel like we’re being watched. There are certain times of people who are comforted by that, and then there are types like us who just get pissed off.

The officer might be right with the right before left thing. But that he tried to trick you with the speed is so bad. But honestly…I think thats a Police trick all over the world. Remember the officer who checked my bag when I arrived in Washington: I ask why he is checking just my bag because I arrived with Filiz and Dudu. And if there is a problem with me? And he said no there is no Problem or do you want to do something terrible here? I said no and he said I hope so…LOL

I’m glad you’re on my side! I guess there are actually a lot of laws I wasn’t aware of… it makes so much sense, though, the way the laws are here. I mean, it jives completely with the type of society it is, you know? I’ll probably make a full post about just that sometime.

You know, once I’ve actually learned the laws.
