Oh I’m sure she’s got a thing for the Eorlingas alright, it’s just that, well, maybe they only like her back because of what she can do to their horses.

I was hardly aiming for such an illustrious compliment, but I guess at least you were tactful enough not to go the extra mile and say it reminded you of something you'd read in The Beast. Personally, I happen to think that anything that "takes a hard right and crashes into Sad" is automatically Funny, regardless of the point of departure.

I’m reminded ever-so-wonderfully of the old Dave Barry article in which he recounts his experiences helping collect semen from an endangered falcon. I think just about any situation involving animals and semen is automatically Funny, unless it takes a hard right and crashes into Sad.
