That is, of course, if you give a damn about having cuneiform display correctly on your computer. Which you probably should.
It didn’t work properly for me at first, either, but since I use Ubuntu, setting it up was as simple as typing in “cuneiform” and clicking a button.
Oh, free software, how you delight me!
ashamed to ask but what is that ‘form’ for?
The screenshot at the bottom of the post? That’s me installing cuneiform fonts. I was amazed at how easy the process was, so I wanted to document it! Nerdy, I know.
I guess I can accept that having cuneiform (as well as “other ancient scripts in the greater Aegean vicinity”!) display correctly is a feat that few bother to celebrate.
