For what it’s worth, I saw the same dog again today. He was lying out in the now dormant grasses in the field beside the building where I live. I walked out to say hello.

His eyes have begun to run, which is new since yesterday. Very definitely distemper, I say, but what do I know? My friend has since Wikipedia’d canine distemper and said it has a 50% mortality rate.
