There have certainly been times when I surfed without regard for my furry charges, and the results were morbid.

So, basically, be careful. Reading feeds kills.

You have to stick around until about 1:25 for the cat to come back, but it then stays for the remainder of the video. How freaking cool is that?

And the guy posts it to YouTube, appending “with cat” to the title, instead of doing another take. Gold.

Final exams are drawing nigh. This is the last weekend for fooling around before I have to hit the books.

For the record, I really enjoy the fact that final exams are worth 100% of my grades. It at least motivates me to study for them, and it also means I can do fun stuff like travel and game during the semester, while studying only occasionally.

Here’s to procrastination. What can go wrong?

Oh man, that just made my day. That dog is absolutely getting rocked. “Pwn3d,” one might even be driven to say.

But that expression of sheer horror is yet bested.

The poor kid is probably at least mildly mentally retarded, judging by the clawed hand and Lovecraftian mien that speaks of having sipped from the goblet of madness beyond the outermost realms of space and thought.

Enjoy your day. It can’t possibly be worse than this kid’s.

Pretty win, no? Don’t act like there’s ever been a cat owner who hasn’t played this game. I know I’m guilty.

One time Legolas (my fattest cat) came to say hello to me while I was surfing, and after earning pets for about 20 minutes, he figured it was time to retire and bask in the light of my desklamp. As usual, he slept in a stupid position, and so I covered him in cookies.

(I apologize for the quality of the pictures. These were taken sometime last year, during a period in between functional digital cameras. I took them with the built-in camera on my laptop.)

The best part of the story was that I then gathered up the cookies, blew the hairs off, reboxed them, and my sister ate them all 20 minutes later, none the wiser.

One more. This is surely as I arrived home one day, sat down at my computer, and was greeted by the Petting Obelisk. Sometimes when I had to concentrate on something at the computer and thus type with both hands, he would rub his face against mine.

The really silly part about this is that I adapted to this and used it as a method of petting him in order to be able to concentrate on whatever I was working on.

See?

Man, I miss that fat loser.

Saturday was spent on a good deal of gaming, both lannage and transatlantic (love you, Will). I’m sure I’ll throw up a post about the games we played, because that’s awesome and I love looking at screenshots of destruction on the black-on-blood theme I have going on on this site.

Ahhh, war.

At the moment I’m performing computer maintenance, which is the closest thing I have to petting a cat these days. I just need to make sure it doesn’t feel neglected or exploited, and that is doesn’t get fat or sick.

Which is funny, because my cat is horribly fat, and I love him all the more for it.

But I’m not running games on my cat, I guess.

Somebody invested time in placing a taco around that cat. I wonder how the guys at Adobe feel for making this possible. This could also be some kind of oblique critique (that rhymes!) on the quality of food at Taco Bell, but I leave that up to you.

I need to go to class now. On so many levels.

I have no idea when the dorm will get internet installed in it, but I’m sure it’ll be later rather than sooner, if past evidence is to be considered. And it is. I’ve thought about scooping up a router to boost the signal in my room, but I can’t find any quite cheap enough to really make it worthwhile. I shall yet deliberate. I can’t last much longer, living disconnected.

I was hoping to get some photos of her lizards in their new place of residence, but of course we had to head home well before her room was so well set up. Instead, I made friends with her roommates’ cats, one of whom was named Tippy. I had fun calling him “Tipsters Anonymous,” because I like making up stupid names, but I figured he was really called that because the tips of his ears were white.

Then one of Em’s roommates came by and told the story of how she adopted him. Apparently he was vaccinated too young, or for something he shouldn’t have been, and had neurological problems because of it. “Show them how you walk, Tippy.” And she set him down and he crabwalked three paces, then tipped over. She assured the appalled faces around her that he really was named for the ear markings, and the cerebellum damage just made for a strange coincidence. Uh-huh.
